ESITETI PRIMARY SCHOOL

Esiteti Primary School is located outside Amboseli National Park overlooking Mt. Kilimanjaro. Esiteti School has 400 students nursery through 6th grade. Africa Schools of Kenya (ASK) works in conjunction with the Maasai people, located in the Kajiado region outside Amboseli National Park in southern Kenya, East Africa. In keeping with the needs of the Maasai people, ASK facilitates and underwrites educational programs encouraging awareness on healthcare, leadership and life skills.

OUR WORK

March to the Top has supported the expansion and relocation of the school to accommodate up to 400 children providing direct access to water as a result of a new well. In addition to partially funding the school construction project, we provide school materials and clothing to the school.

WHY IT MATTERS

Maasai land has the highest primary and secondary school dropout rates in Kenya — mainly because of a lack of local schools in the region. Many Maasai children start their primary and secondary school education late because schools are so far away from their communities.

“Foolishness first, then wisdom.”
