Meet Caroline
Child’s History:
Caroline was born to a single mother and is the third of five children. Unlike most of our children, Caroline was not born with HIV. Her mother, after contracting HIV from a boyfriend, passed the disease to Caroline while breastfeeding. A home visit by New Hope staff revealed that Caroline’s mother was quite ill and unable to care for the children. Caroline was also not receiving daily anti-retroviral medications necessary to treat HIV. She was accepted at New Hope – AINA Children’s Home in early March 2021. Caroline would like to be a teacher one day so that she may help her siblings. Sponsorship grants her the opportunity to be whatever she wants to be!

Meet Prince
Child’s History:
Prince came to New Hope – AINA in 2017. He lives here with his twin sister, Praise, who came to New Hope – AINA in early 2018. His mother has severe health complications and she struggled to care for Prince and his sister due to her condition. Prince and his sister love being back under the same roof! We provide them both with proper education, nutrition, housing, and healthcare as well as a caring support system.

A single mother of three, Wilson’s mother has not been able to take care of her children. Although she took day-labor work in the village, washing clothes and selling candy, the family relied on neighbors and relatives to provide most meals. Unfortunately Wilson was not receiving the ARTs (anti-retroviral therapies) necessary to slow HIV and so, after a visit with our social worker, came to live with our family at New Hope – AINA.
Contributing to Wilson’s sponsorship means contributing to his health and his chance at a normal life.
