CREATIVE VISIONS
Creative Visions incubates artists and filmmakers who raise awareness and drive action around critical issues to become change makers in their communities and the world. Inspired by artist, adventurer, and creative activist Dan Eldon, a 22-year-old photojournalist who was killed in Somalia in 1993, Creative Visions empowers creative activism worldwide. The organization helps aspiring activists use media and the arts to ignite positive social change, particularly in the areas of human rights, the environment, and education.
OUR WORK
Creative Visions founder Kathy Eldon lived for many years in Nairobi and shares our passion for the people and lands of Africa. Since 2015, March to the Top has supported creative initiatives in Kenya and South Africa. Our investment will enable the extension of the “Rock Your World” human rights education program to 250 youth participants. We are also supporting ongoing efforts to build a thriving “Africa Hub” with access to media resources and education.
WHY IT MATTERS
Students need to ask bold questions. Youth need to learn to tell important stories and inspire solutions to global challenges. Taking risks, inspiring change through digital media and the arts is essential to raising awareness.
“Be compelled to ask brave new questions, and the creative actions, social change, and brand new destination will come.”
