Equipment, training, and recognition
For Rangers raises awareness and funds for the welfare of rangers on the front lines to save Africa’s wildlife. Diverse programming fills critical gaps in conservation initiatives across the continent. Through the provision of equipment and training, For Rangers meets the needs of rangers at the forefront of conservation efforts.
These are the people doing the daily, dangerous work to stop poaching — and they deserve the recognition, resources, and support to do it safely.

Our Work
Equipped, paid, incentivized, and trained
March to the Top’s support of For Rangers helps ensure that rangers across Africa are adequately equipped with quality gear, well paid, incentivized, and trained. Funding has benefited rangers in some of Kenya’s most critical conservation areas.
In 2021, March to the Top achieved a zero poaching target through our sponsorship of Northern Rangelands Trust’s security teams — a direct result of rangers having the support they need to do their jobs.

Why It Matters
Poachers are better equipped than ever — rangers must be too
With inflated ivory costs and the price of rhino horn rivaling that of gold, poachers are more determined and dangerous than ever — using high-caliber assault weapons and sophisticated night-vision to operate in the dark.
Over 1,000 rangers have been killed on the front lines protecting our wildlife since 2003. The support of For Rangers works to keep that number from increasing — and March to the Top is proud to be part of that effort.
“
There’s a huge amount of recognition for the illegal wildlife trade crisis, but not a huge amount for the people really doing the day-to-day work to stop it.
