A home and a school for every child
Founded in 2008, Kivuli Trust provides education, housing, and essential care to children with intellectual and physical disabilities in Gilgil, Kenya. Operating two residential hostels alongside Gilgil Special School, Kivuli Trust is home to children who would otherwise have no access to education or support.
In partnership with local government — which provides classrooms and specialist teachers — Kivuli Trust ensures these children receive the structured learning environment they need to thrive.

Our Work
Life skills, nutrition, and a safe place to call home
Working in collaboration with Gilgil Special School, March to the Top provides financial and operational support to Kivuli Trust. As a registered charity run entirely by volunteers, Kivuli ensures that every donated dollar goes directly to the children.
We seek to empower these young people with essential life skills, quality nutrition, and a safe, nurturing home — giving them the foundation to become more fully integrated members of their families and communities.

Why It Matters
3 million Kenyans with disabilities — fewer than 1% in school
An estimated 3 million people in Kenya are living with intellectual disabilities, and fewer than 1% are receiving an education. Many children with physical and cognitive differences are hidden away by families who view disability as a source of shame, or simply never given the chance to learn.
By providing residential care alongside specialized schooling, Kivuli Trust confronts this stigma directly — proving that with the right support, these forgotten children can be educated, valued, and given a future.
