Save a Mind, Give a Choice is part of the Lewa Conservancy’s effort to support children throughout their educational career. Save a Mind, Give a Choice provides local pastoral children with secondary school and university scholarships, empowering them to generate change in their own communities.
OUR WORK
March to the Top supports Lewa’s efforts to provide scholarships and funding for students to further their education through the Save a Mind, Give a Choice program. More than 150 children have benefited from the education offered with several going on to graduate from university. Support includes education, transport, uniforms, books, boarding accommodation if needed, food, and more. In 2017, March to the Top provided two university scholarships and one secondary school scholarship through the Save a Mind, Give a Choice program.
WHY IT MATTERS
Communities have a critical role to play in biodiversity conservation. Support and funding for education are critical to enhancing the well-being of these communities. Through education, we are cultivating a new generation of leaders who will create new projects in community conservation through inclusive decision making.
